Fuels Terminal Manager - FL


Tanaq Government Services (TGS) is accepting applications for a Fuels Terminal Manager to work on Patrick AFB, Satellite Beach Florida.


Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. 

Purpose and Scope:
The Terminal Manager ( TM ) will be responsible for meeting Contractor’s work requirements, including scheduling of personnel, work supervision, and quality control. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • ·         Provides direction and leadership to assigned personnel. 
  • ·         To ensure on-site management of PWS requirements
  • ·         Manages and coordinates research and investigations into business problems. 
  • ·         Provides guidance and assistance relative to operating problems and the contract. 
  • ·         Direct point of contact between the DLA COR and Tanaq Government Services. 
  • ·         Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
  • ·         In-depth knowledge of all USAF, DLA and accepted Industry regulations governing Fuel Management and Alongside Aircraft Refueling operations

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office/supervisory environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 75 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Procedure Compliance - Each employee must read, understand and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to his/her job. 

Minimum Requirements

  • ·         Must possess significant, specialized commercial or military experience in fuel terminal operations and maintenance performing and supervising tasks equivalent to an AF Fuels Management seven-skill level(2F071) or above personnel or similar commercial/military standard. This experience shall include receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping petroleum products via tank truck as appropriate to the Air Force installations mode of receipt capability and maintenance and repair of bulk petroleum storage terminals, systems, and equipment.
  • ·         Candidate must have broad experience of fuels functions such as operations, accounting, and laboratory and shall have attended the Fuels Terminal Manager/Responsible Officer Course (prior to being selected for the position).
  • ·         Must have documented specialized supervisory experience in fuel terminal operations with an emphasis in terminal maintenance, operations, and environmental compliance must be predominant.
  • ·         Must have ten years of experience working in Fuels is required; five years in base level general fuels, and five years in a fuels managerial capacity.
  • ·         Computer skills are essential with proficiency in a full range of Microsoft Office products and should be capable of preparing management level reports and presentations. 
  • ·         Position may require travel. 5%-10%
  • ·         The position does require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • ·         Knowledge of the theory and fundamentals of operating budget preparation; knowledge of logistics planning; principles of inventory control; freight transportation; and statistical methods and procedures.
  • ·         Possess a valid state CDL Driver’s License Class B with a hazardous endorsement.
